Desertfest is the UK’s ultimate underground rock festival and after a sell out first edition, Desertfest is back, it’s bigger, it’s badder and it’s ready to tear you guys a new one!

Welcome to the new site, keep your eyes peeled for regular announcements and count down to what will be the greatest underground festival in Europe.

The festival spawned from Desertscene, a promotion company specific to all things Stoner and Doom based in the UK. For too long the UK seemed starved of any continuity within the underground scenes that we all love, with under attended shows and bad communication networks between the fans. Desertscene have been promoting shows since 2009 and soon quickly struck up a relationship with various magazines and booking agents and soon made a few ears prick up amongst the hardcore underground music fans.

It wasn’t long before plans were hatched to bring all the top bands from around the globe to our wonderful city of London and cram some hard riffing, shit kicking acts into London town over the course of 3 days. After some consideration it was decided that it was best not to limit this just for the UK fan’s but spread the idea across to our German friends in Berlin. Desertscene quickly teamed up with Sound Of Liberation to bring Desertfest to Berlin and both festivals were launched in April 2012 and sold out weeks before doors opened… Once again, this shows the strength of the scene in UK & Europe.

Things are getting bigger and better and the small but tightly focused team are planning more wonderful things for your sonic pleasure in the future, so watch this space…
